Dorfner is a major supplier of functional fillers for commercial and industrial flooring. The company made an appearance at the small but impressive Estrich Parkett Fliese floor construction show which was organized by the Bayrische Bauakademie (Bavarian Construction Academy). The event was held on June 26th – 28th in Feuchtwangen, Bavaria, and it provided a good opportunity for Dorfner to get the word out to industry professionals about its resin-based fillers for mortar and self-levelling coating compounds.
Trade visitors and craftsmen were surprised at the possibilities which our functionalized quartz sand products create for floor installers. Our new low-dust quartz dry shake makes a genuine contribution to site safety because no dust is kicked up during installation. The substantial improvement in occupational safety is not the only advantage. The new products also reduce costs because floor installers can apply less expensive top coat when they seal the floor. Our hydrophobic quartz sand, which creates a whole new range of applications and formulation options, also generated a considerable level of interest.
ISG, a Dorfner group company which is marking its 50th anniversary this year, was also part of our show, and it took the opportunity to show its impressive talents as a “composer” of quartz sand mixtures. MELADUR® hard aggregates for interspersion which make industrial flooring virtually indestructible were also on display.
The early summer temperatures and buoyant atmosphere provided a pleasant backdrop for the lively discussions at the Dorfner booth. Overall, Dorfner has good reason to be satisfied with the show. Its appearance at the event reflects the importance of the floor construction segment at Dorfner.
